Interested in Volunteering Your Time?
2-1-1 Northwest Florida is an information and referral call center that takes over 40,000 calls each year from people seeking information on health and human services in our Northwest Florida area. Volunteers can become an Information and Referral Specialist with about 30 hours of training and a commitment to volunteer for at least a few hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
2-1-1 volunteers are needed to answer phones to assist callers with finding information they need. Volunteers are also needed to take messages from incoming calls during high call volume periods, staff meetings, and training sessions. Volunteer hours are Monday through Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm. Volunteer shifts range from four to eight hours.
Internships: We welcome college students seeking unpaid internships, field study programs, or practicums.
Review the community calendar for scheduled one-day events that may need volunteers, or call United Way 2-1-1 to see if there are any additonal community opportunities.
